The Alamodome first opened on May 15, 1993 in San Antonio, Texas. There is 65,000 seats in the Alamodome and they are primarily used for Football, Basketball and Convention Center activities.
This is the site of the Annual Alamo Bowl. In 2006 the Alamo Bowl was attended by the fans of Texas Longhorns and the Iowa Hawkeyes. In 2007 the Alamo Bowl supported the fans of Texas A & M and Penn State. In both 2006 & 2007 both Alamo Bowl Events drew over 65,000 attendees. This was Home of the San Antonio Spurs from 1993 to 2002.
The Alamodome has held three NCAA Final Four Championship Games, as well as, the Alamodome has hosted Bullriding Events, Disney on Ice Productions, along with three Big 12 Championships and numerous NCAA Regionals and Womans Finals
